Components of the Baoussous canyoning trip
The Baoussous canyon is renowned for its numerous progressive rappels along stunning, wild, and mineral-rich gorges, and for its abundant sunshine. It's the ideal canyoning trip for beginners or those looking to improve their rappelling skills along rock faces and waterfalls.
For approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes , you will overcome a wide variety of obstacles:
- abseiling from 4 to 17 meters;
- jumps optional;
- white water swimming ;
- natural slides up to 7 meters;
- zipline “splash”.

How long does the activity last?
The activity lasts approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes :
- 30 minutes of briefing and equipment
- 15 minute approach walk
- 2h30 canyon descent
- 10 minute walk back
- 15 minute debriefing
What equipment is provided?
All the necessary equipment for canyoning in optimal safety conditions is provided:
- Suit full neoprene
- Helmet specially designed for canyoning
- Harness with protection and descender
- Pair of socks in neoprene (on request)
- Shoes canyoning (on request)
- On demand, cereal bars and bottled water transported by the guide in his waterproof bag
All this equipment is CE approved and checked daily.
What equipment should be provided?
- A swimsuit
- A pair of sports shoes
- A towel
- A small snack and a bottle of water to consume when you return from the activity
- A USB key to recover the photos of your outing
What is the meeting place?
Meet your guide directly in Céret , in the free parking lot at the Devil's Bridge.
The guide will then give you all your equipment and you will leave together in the canyon, by minibus or carpooling.
Céret is a small town in the Pyrénées-Orientales which is located at:
- 30 minutes from Perpignan and Argelès-sur-Mer;
- 40 minutes from Canet-en-Roussillon and Saint-Cyprien.

What prerequisites?
- Be at least 12 years old.
- Be in good physical condition.
- Be comfortable in the water, know how to swim at least 25 meters and be able to immerse yourself (put your head under water) without fear.
When?
The best time to descend the Baoussous canyon is spring , as the water level is ideal for enjoying the beautiful waterfalls.
In summer , the water level is lower, making it more accessible to children and beginners.
