Components of the Molitg beginner canyoning trip
For about 2 hours, you evolve along superb granite grooves and go through very fun :
- white water swimming in the stream;
- string manipulation;
- jumps (optional) from 2 to 6 meters high, in basins of crystal clear water;
- fantastic natural slides ;
- two people abseiling, including the superb cascade final of 10 meters high!
This beginner canyoning trip is ideal for discover gently and at your own pace all the beautiful sensations that this aquatic activity has in store for you.
Complete and fun, discovery canyon of Molitg will give you the opportunity to try all the canyoning techniques : abseiling, jumps, natural slides, swimming... A refreshing outing to share in family ou With friends !

Discovery canyoning outing in Molitg-les-Bains: practical information
Equipment provided
All the equipment necessary to practice canyoning in optimal safety conditions is provided to you:
- Suit full neoprene
- Helmet specially designed for canyoning
- Harness with protection and descender
- Pair of neoprene socks (on demand)
- Canyoning shoes (on demand)
- On demand, cereal bars and bottled water transported by the guide in his waterproof bag
All this equipment is CE approved and checked daily.
Equipment required
- A swimsuit
- A pair of sports shoes
- A towel
- A small snack and a bottle of water to consume when you return from the activity
- A USB key to recover the photos of your outing
Duration of activity
The activity lasts about 3 hours :
- 30 minutes of briefing and equipment
- 5 minute approach walk
- 2 hour canyon descent
- 15 minute walk back
- 15 minute debriefing
Meeting place
Meet at outdoor leisure park Exterior Nature to pick up the equipment and join your guide.
Located in Marquixanes, the park is only:
- 25 minutes from Perpignan;
- 40 minutes from Argelès-sur-Mer, Saint-Cyprien, Canet-en-Roussillon;
- 8 minutes from Prades.

Who is it for?
Level I (rating v3a3II), the Molitg canyon is ideal for:
- The families with child(ren) from 8 years old wishing to discover canyoning gently, thanks to the optional nature of certain obstacles.
- The groups of friends wishing to share a convivial moment in the middle of nature and learn about the practice of canyoning.
- The BUSINESSES looking for an original team-building activity or a sports seminar accessible to all, to motivate teams.
- The sports clubs, associations and communities for the organization of group outings and school or extracurricular activities.
What prerequisites?
- Be at least 8 years old.
- Be comfortable in the water, know how to swim at least 25 meters and be able to immerse yourself (put your head under water) without fear.
It is not necessary to know the techniques of canyoning: a professional guide will accompany you from A to Z to explain to you how to evolve in complete safety.
When?
The ideal time to organize an outing to the Molitg canyon is june to august. Depending on the water level and the weather conditions, it is also possible to descend this canyon by May and September. To know more :

Descent of the Molitg canyon: good to know
In which case can my outing be cancelled?
The feasibility of your outing depends on weather conditions and water flow. For this, our guides regularly monitor the weather and the water level, in order to determine if the practice of canyoning is feasible in optimal safety conditions. In case of cancellation, you will be informed in advance by a phone call.
I have back and joint problems, I recently had surgery, can I still do the activity?
It is strongly advised to seek the advice of your doctor beforehand, in order to avoid any complications during the outing. In any case, the activity requires the absence of medical contraindication to the practice of canyoning.
If in doubt, please let us know when booking.
I am asthmatic, can I go canyoning?
Yes, the Molitg canyon does not require significant physical and cardio effort. However, remember to take your Ventoline with you and let your guide know.
Can you do canyoning with Aquashoes or water sandals?
Aquashoes are accepted for the Molitg canyon. However, for more comfort and better safety, it is strongly recommended to wear sports shoes.
